Homes with insulation use significantly less energy for heating and cooling compared to homes without insulation.  Home owners can obtain the highest impact of energy savings by insulating the attic.

One of the best ways to make your home more comfortable and cost-efficient year round, is to assess your attic and crawl space.  Addressing this area will slow down the rate of heat transfer from your attin/crawl space to the inside of your house.

Your homes may need insulation when:

  • you have a home built before 1980
  • you are uncomfortably cold in the winter or hot in the summer
  • if you install new siding/roofing/ addition
  • your electric bill is high,
  • if you hear loud exterior noises
  • you have less than 10 inches of insulation.

Picture below shows why it is important to have Insulation, not only in the summer, but in the Winter also!
